Phillips demonstrate new sustainable lighting solutions for urban environments at Sustainable Urban Infrastructure 2013
Participating for a second year in a row, Phillips have chosen to demonstrate why sustainable lighting solutions make sense in large urban infrastructure projects at the Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Conference 31 January 2013 in Hong Kong. Taking a longer term view of quality, maintenance, energy usage and replacement values, Phillips are demonstrating that energy efficient lighting offers both cost and quality benefits for teams wanting a solution that works for the lifecycle of the project not just for the opening ceremony.
As a global leader in the lighting industry, Philips strives to harness new technology and advanced methodology, to create solutions for illuminating the streets of developing cities in a sustainable manner. According to a spokes person “Our solutions can save up to 44% in terms of energy consumption, and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions while ensuring that roads are safe and comfortably illuminated.”
Philips is working to light up a number of key infrastructure and building projects in Hong Kong and the SUI Conference offers a unique opportunity to showcase its latest products that meet engineers, designers and project managers needs by offering a sustainable, maintenance friendly lighting design solution while keeping within the time and cost criteria.
Philips will be joining a range of other sponsors demonstrating their expertise in the field including one of Hong Kong’s top construction and development companies, Chun Wo Development and leading construction law firm King & Wood Mallesons.
